Kristen Delventhal

Kristen has been practicing in the field since 2013. 

She completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree from New York University where she focused on clinical social work practice. 

Kristen's areas of interest include working with individuals ages 7+ navigating anxiety disorders. mood disorders, life transitions, having a history of relational trauma or those who are neurodivergent.

In addition, Kristen enjoys working with parents, pregnant women, and couples. Her goal is to address areas of concern across the lifespan. 

In addition to working at A Work of Heart, Kristen is the wellness coordinator for a Bergen County school district and has great expertise at working with adolescents and children with social, emotional and behavioral challenges as well as significant knowledge of Bergen County school districts and the special education process.

Kristen is also an approved clinical supervisor in New Jersey for individuals pursuing their clinical licensure with the Board of Social Work.

Kristen completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree from New York University where she focused on clinical social work practice.  

She has completed post-graduate training and certifications in several areas including: NASW NJ Trauma Certificate program; Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) through the Cognitive Behavior Institute in PA for OCD treatment; and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills Training with the Linehan Institute. 

Most recently, Kristen completed training in the Postpartum Support International (PSI) Components of Care and Advanced Psychotherapy as she pursues her perinatal mental health certification.

In addition, she is currently training in The Gottman Method for couples therapy. 

Kristen hopes to combine her understanding of development, family dynamics and individual experiences from childhood through adulthood to meet the needs of all her clients.
